Fort Myers Beach Braces for Thunder as Powerboat Racing National Championship Returns

The Roar Offshore National Championship is set to ignite the coast from October 8-11, 2026, marking the thrilling finale of the national racing season.

The roar of high-performance engines will once again echo across Southwest Florida as powerboat racing in Fort Myers makes its spectacular return.  VIEW THE RACE MAP.

Scheduled for October 8th through 11th, the Roar Offshore National Championship is poised to transform the tranquil shores of Fort Myers Beach into a battleground for the nation's elite racing teams.

This is far more than just a race; it's a massive economic driver for Lee County during what is typically a slower tourism period.

Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to flood the island, injecting millions of dollars into local businesses, restaurants, and hotels.

The event serves as the final, decisive race of the APBA Offshore National Championship Series, where national titles will be won and lost on our waters.

This championship status raises the stakes for every team involved.

Festivities extend beyond the race course, with a vibrant street party and boat parade creating a festival atmosphere throughout the community.

Fans can get an up-close look at the incredible machines and meet the teams at the bustling race village hosted at Salty Sam's Marina.

The massive spectator fleet and crowds lining the beach from the pier to mid-island create an unforgettable and electric atmosphere.

Organizers have secured a long-term commitment, ensuring these thrilling speed boat races will remain a cornerstone of Fort Myers Beach events for years to come.
